Community Focused Company Generates Contributions

The Lewis Group gives to region in more ways than one.

ROYERSFORD, PA — Like many of the small towns along the Route 422 corridor from King of Prussia to Pottstown, Royersford, Pennsylvania has quickly become surrounded by a significant amount of new growth. Population in the region continues to swell but that doesn't instantly equate to growth of the tax base, which can be taxing on community services.

One local company recognized the disparity when their President met with the Chief of Police and took action.

The Lewis Group, headquartered in Royersford, regularly gives back to the community and recently made contributions that allowed the Borough's Police Department to outfit a new pickup truck with specialized options.

"Basically, we found out that the department had a shortfall," says Richard Lewis, President of the group of companies that specializes in everything from environmental remediation and emergency response to thoughtful redevelopment of abandoned properties. "We stepped in, paid for the equipment and coordinated installation."

The Lewis Group regularly makes similar localized gestures but that's not all that they do to help build community. The company is headquartered in a property they rescued from extreme disrepair–improving riverfront parcels in an ongoing improvement effort that is positively changing the face of the community.

Under the direction of the Lewis Group, the riverfront in Royersford is poised to become a community showpiece with planned redevelopment to include a variety of uses.

"We've always made efforts to be good corporate citizens," remarked Lewis, the second-generation leader of the family-founded service company with operations along the east coast. "Values Based & Solutions Driven is more than just our company tagline, it's a promise and we mean to uphold both sides of the equation."

Complementing the capable fleet of the Royersford Police force, the state-of-the-art vehicle that the Lewis Group subsidized was put into service in October.

"Chief Nerlinger and Mayor Guest were very appreciative," added Lewis and "We are happy to do our part. We are fortunate to be located in Royersford and we look forward to continuing our meaningful partnership with the Borough."

Undoubtedly, many people appreciate the contributions that The Lewis Group continues to make in the Borough and throughout the region.
