We are thrilled to announce that Senior VP, Stephen Pelna, has been named the incoming president of the Spill Control Association of America (SCAA)! With over a decade of active involvement in SCAA, Steve has served in leadership roles such as board member, secretary, and treasurer since 2016.Steve has been with Lewis for 15 years and currently leads the Company’s Operations with a commitment to our core values of safety, quality, integrity, and accountability. Before stepping into this role, he led the Emergency Response and Health & Safety Departments, spearheading key Lewis initiatives such as
- Active Lewis Emergency Response Team (ALERT) Program – a rapid response team ensuring swift action during environmental emergencies
- Comprehensive OSHA Training Programs – Yearly training equipping employees with the latest safety protocols and compliance knowledge
- Short Service Employee (SSE) Training – Enhanced onboarding processes to ensure new employees integrate seamlessly into our strong safety culture.
In addition to his work with Lewis Environmental, Steve is heavily involved in the community serving as a fire fighter with the West Chester Fire Department, where he previously held the role of Fire Chief.
