Environmental and Property Management Pros Prepare for Next Phase

August 11, 2022 — Royersford, PA — This year marked the 26th anniversary for Lewis Environmental– a remarkable milestone for the well-regarded company founded by visionary Thomas (Tom) Lewis, Sr. in 1996. In 2007 Richard (Rick) Lewis was named President and, since then, has successfully guided company operations and growth.

Now, with nearly 200 full-time team members, the Lewis Group has fully staffed and outfitted operation centers in several states, active work in dozens more and they are rapidly growing.

To accommodate that growth while maintaining focus on important existing customer relationships, the Lewis Group recently announced reorganization within the leadership structure that also retains all current Lewis Group executives.

“Our leadership team is staying intact while executive team restructuring will allow us to simultaneously focus on our core service offerings and long-term success,” said Rick Lewis, who will now helm the group as Chairman & Chief Executive Officer.

Carefully strategized over the last several months, a number of realities have contributed to the company’s reorganization plan including changes in the energy sector, labor constraints and current economic conditions. The revised executive structure will allow the Lewis Group to evaluate distinct opportunities like new markets and diversification while maintaining the highest quality standard to the company’s current commitments.

Although CEO Lewis will be shifting his focus, he will still be meaningfully engaged in all aspects of the Lewis Group.

Dave Lindenmuth, who has served as the company Chief Operating Officer, assumed the role of President of Lewis Environmental effective July 6, 2022. Lindenmuth will oversee a dynamic industrial services portfolio with growing interests along the Eastern Seaboard and the Gulf Coast.

Longtime Lewis Environmental contributors Steve Pelna and Brandon Smith have each been promoted to Senior Vice President. Pelna will be responsible for the company’s Operations and Emergency Services while Smith will head up Business Development, Project Management, and Compliance.

Additionally, the Lewis Group announced the creation of a new role and the hiring of Richard Budka to serve as Chief Transformation Officer. In this hybrid position, Budka will administer finance, human resources, and technology for the Lewis Group.

Earlier this year the company announced the promotion of Don Simmons to President of Lewis Property Services. Simmons previously served as Vice President of Lewis Property Services, resulting in five successive years of positive growth for that division.

“These changes not only breathe fresh life and bring new ideas into all of our initiatives,” commented Lewis, “but the restructure provides opportunity for advancement at almost every level in the organization.”

In 2022, the Lewis Group, and the company’s three divisions– Lewis Environmental, Lewis Property Services and Lewis Development– renew their commitment to their core values of safety, quality, integrity and accountability that guide company decision making every day.

“We are humble and we are hungry for the next opportunity, adds Lewis, “Winning comes by doing things the right way and, as we continue to diversify our services and expand geographically, we know we do so because we have the best people in the business.”
